Michels Construction, Inc. is seeking a Senior Superintendent for Heavy Civil projects. This role involves coordinating field operations, managing schedules and resources, ensuring safety compliance, and developing field staff. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of construction experience, specifically in Heavy Civil projects, and a commitment to safety and project execution. The role requires travel and long-term onsite commitment.

The Senior Superintendent, Heavy Civil role supports field operations by coordinating schedules and resources, communicating scope to Foremen, and ensuring safety processes like JSAs and inspections are completed. Responsibilities include attending client meetings, managing materials and tooling needs, verifying daily QA/QC and as‑built documentation, reviewing time and field reports, and working closely with the Project Manager. This position also helps develop Foremen and trade staff while contributing to efficient, safe, and consistent project execution.

    • What it takes:

  • 10+ years of related experience and/or training in construction industry
  • Experience with Heavy Civil project is required
  • Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team
  • Ability to travel and commit to long term onsite projects
