Role summary

Michels Construction, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent for their Marine Operations team. This role supports field operations by coordinating schedules and resources, communicating scope to Foremen, and ensuring safety processes are completed. Responsibilities include attending client meetings, managing materials and tooling, verifying QA/QC and as-built documentation, reviewing reports, and working with the Project Manager. The position also focuses on developing Foremen and trade staff to ensure efficient, safe, and consistent project execution. The ideal candidate has 8-10 years of Marine Construction experience and 8+ years of Hydraulic Dredging experience, with at least 3 years of Foreman experience.

The Superintendent, Marine Construction role supports field operations by coordinating schedules and resources, communicating scope to Foremen, and ensuring safety processes like JSAs and inspections are completed. Responsibilities include attending client meetings, managing materials and tooling needs, verifying daily QA/QC and as‑built documentation, reviewing time and field reports, and working closely with the Project Manager. This position also helps develop Foremen and trade staff while contributing to efficient, safe, and consistent project execution.

    • What it takes:

  • 8-10 years of Marine Construction Experience
  • 8+ years of Hydraulic Dredging experience, Environmental Dredging is a plus
  • 3+ years of previous Foreman experience
  • Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team
  • Ability to travel and commit to long term onsite projects
