Role summary

Michels Energy Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Lead to support project managers in developing and maintaining accurate budgets and schedules for complex energy and industrial infrastructure projects across North America. The role involves monitoring project progress against financial and timeline goals, coordinating activities for efficient execution, and promoting cross-team communication. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting, with 5+ years of experience in cost engineering and scheduling within the construction or infrastructure sectors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential.

As Project Controls, your key responsibilities will be to support project managers by developing and maintaining accurate budgets and schedules, monitor project progress to ensure alignment with financial and timeline goals, and coordinate project activities to promote efficient execution and communication across teams.

    • What it takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in cost engineering, scheduling, and project controls within construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and business operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; familiarity with project management and cost control systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to interpret data to drive process improvements
  • Collaboration and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a team and independently under deadlines
  • Occasional travel to project sites
