Description

We're Hiring! Love working with people, solving problems, and making a difference in a growing company?

Midwest Compressor Systems is looking for a hands-on, experienced Human Resources Manager who enjoys taking ownership, building relationships, and supporting both employees and leadership.

This isn't a role where you will simply sit behind a desk managing paperwork. You will be an important part of our team - helping employees succeed, supporting managers, ensuring payroll and benefits run smoothly, and making sure our HR practices support the people and operations behind our business.

We are looking for someone who can balance the details of the day-to-day HR administration with the bigger picture of helping our company continue to grow.

What You Will Do

As our HR Manager, you will serve as the primary HR resource for our employees across Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma, working directly with our CEO and leadership team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Human Resources & Employee Relations
  • Payroll
  • Employee Benefits
  • Recruiting & Onboarding
  • Performance Management
  • Compliance
  • Process Improvement

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is approachable, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing an HR function independently.

What Will Make You Successful Here?

You will be a great fit if you:

  • Take ownership of responsibilities and follow through on commitments.
  • Enjoy being a resource employees and managers can count on.
  • Are comfortable rolling up your sleeves and handling the details.
  • Ask thoughtful questions, use good judgement, and look for practical solutions.
  • Can balance employee needs with the needs of the business.
  • Want to understand the work our employees do - not just the HR processes that support them.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with leadership, take meaningful ownership of the HR function, and help shape Midwest Compressor as our business evolves. Interested in joining our team? We would love to hear from you!

Requirements

Required:

  • Direct experience managing payroll and employee benefits across multiple states.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices and employment regulations across multiple states.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Confidence working independently while collaborating with employees and leadership.

Preferred:

  • 3–5 years of progressively responsible HR experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, oil and gas, industrial services, or a similar industry.
  • HR certification or a degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
