Role summary

MinIO is seeking an entry-level Events Specialist to support the execution of various events, including Marquee, Trade Show, Regional, and Community events. This role involves coordinating logistics, managing vendors, overseeing on-site operations, and conducting post-event reporting. The specialist will also assist with staffing schedules, lead scanning, follow-up flows, budget tracking, and general administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with strong organizational skills and a willingness to learn by doing, working closely with the Director of Field Marketing & Events.

MinIO's Events Specialist supports execution across Marquee, Trade Show, Regional, and Community events, including logistics, on-site operations, and post-event reporting. This is an exciting role with broad exposure to event marketing, working directly with the Director of Field Marketing & Events. A strong fit for someone who's detail-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity, and excited to learn by doing.

What You Will Do:

Coordinate logistics and vendors for US trade shows and marquee events, including booth build, shipping, and on-site setup/teardown

Build and manage on-site staffing schedules and shift coverage for US event presence

Run lead and badge-scan operations at events

Set up and manage post-event follow-up flows (email sequences, SFDC lead routing)

Draft first-pass post-event reports against the standardized reporting format

Support logistics for US regional events, including executive dinners, happy hours, and local activations (venue sourcing, catering, invite/RSVP management)

Support Community/Developer event logistics in the US (meetups, local developer events)

Track event budgets against actuals and flag discrepancies

Provide general administrative support to the Director of Field Marketing & Events, including scheduling, vendor invoicing, and calendar maintenance

Your Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

2 -4 years of event experience

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Comfortable juggling multiple deadlines and vendors at once

Clear written and verbal communication skills

Willing to travel (approximately 25%, depending on event calendar)
