Misfits Market, a mission-driven startup focused on reducing food waste and making sustainable groceries accessible, seeks a Warehouse Trainer for its second shift. This role involves conducting on-the-floor training and cross-training for hourly associates, evaluating trainee performance, assisting with onboarding, and ensuring training documentation is completed. The ideal candidate is a patient, clear communicator with strong organizational and relationship-building skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Experience facilitating training or presentations to groups is desirable, as is bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish.

How you’ll support our operations:

We are seeking an organized individual who wants to grow their career at Misfits Market as a Certified Trainer. This role will support the functional training of new hires, evaluate the initial performance capabilities of trainees, provide peer coaching, and assist in other onboarding activities as needed. Schedules Available:

Sunday - Wednesday = 5 am - 1:30 pm

Sunday - Wednesday = 2 pm to 10:30

Wednesday - Saturday = 5 am - 1:30 pm

Wednesday - Saturday = 2 pm to 10:30 pm

Sunday - Thursday = 5 am to 1:30 pm

Sunday - Thursday = 2 pm to 10:30 pm

What you’ll be doing:

Reports to their department manager, while assisting with training in their home department when needed.

Conduct departmental on-the-floor training and cross-training for all hourly associates utilizing approved training materials.

Evaluate performance and make recommendations on performance in line with training material.

Ensure all required training documentation is completed properly and in a timely manner.

Act as a friendly point-of-contact to support any new hires

Collaborate on identifying necessary training material updates or opportunities.

Maintains a high level of availability in carrying out training needs on a day to day basis.

Diligently adheres to all established facility food safety rules, personal hygiene standards, and Good Distribution Practices (GDP) expectations daily.

Promptly escalates food safety hazards and takes immediate action to halt production lines if product integrity is compromised or suspected of being compromised.

What you have:

HS Diploma or equivalent desirable

Experience training peers or groups desirable

Experience facilitating training or presentations to groups of students (5+ people) desirable

Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) desirable

Must be self-motivated, highly detail-oriented and organized

Written and verbal communication skills

High Influencing

Willing to work overtime and possible weekends as needed

Ability to thrive in ambiguous environment; Experience in fast paced environment

Strong relationship building skills
