Role summary
MongoDB is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Replication Team to design and implement distributed-systems features for high availability, fault tolerance, and data protection. The role involves working primarily in C++ on core database code, focusing on data consistency, recovery time, replication performance, and operability. Responsibilities include improving restore/recovery workflows, optimizing replication performance, writing production-quality C++ with tests, collaborating with other teams, investigating and fixing customer-reported issues, and participating in code/design reviews. The position also involves interviewing candidates and mentoring junior engineers. A hybrid working model is in place, requiring candidates to be located near a MongoDB office.

Sort a String by Frequency Sort a string by the frequency of its characters. Input: s = "cccaaa" Output: "cccaaa" or "aaaccc" Explanation: Both 'c' and 'a' appear three times, so sorting them by descending frequency keeps them grouped equally.
