Role summary
Seeking a Treatment Sales Consultant for a dental office in Lititz, PA. This role involves helping patients make decisions about dental treatments over $1000. You will work with patients after their exam to understand their real objections (fear, money, time, past experiences) and help them commit to necessary care. Responsibilities include presenting treatment plans, breaking down costs, arranging financing and insurance estimates, scheduling accepted treatment, and following up with undecided patients. The ideal candidate is a natural closer with prior commissioned or quota-carrying sales experience, comfortable with computers and eager to learn dental terminology, insurance, and the Dentrix software. This position offers a four-day workweek with no weekends, helping patients improve their health.
THE ROLE
Any dental treatment above about a thousand dollars is a decision patients need help making. That makes this a sales job in a healthcare setting. The doctor diagnoses. You sit down with the patient, find out what is really stopping them, and help them commit to the care they need. We will teach you the dental and software side. We cannot teach you how to close.
WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE
After the doctor's exam, the patient sits down with you. You present the plan, and then you listen. Is it fear? Money? Time? A bad experience at another dentist years ago? You find the real objection and solve that one. Big plans get broken into phases the patient can say yes to today, with insurance estimates and financing laid out so the number is something they can act on.Accepted treatment gets scheduled before the patient leaves. Undecided patients go on your follow-up list, and you stay on them until there is an answer.
WHO THRIVES IN THIS SEAT
The people who thrive in this seat are natural closers who are tired of the grind that usually comes with sales. They are persuasive and warm, they can sit in silence after saying a number, and they are willing to learn dental terms, insurance, and Dentrix because closing requires it.What we look for, in order of importance: Drive. You have had a quota or a commission, and you hit it. You ask for the decision. Connection. People tell you what is really holding them back, because they trust you. Pace. A slow day makes you restless, and an undecided customer stays on your list until there is an answer. Precision. You are willing to learn the detail side, insurance, estimates, and software, because the close depends on getting it right.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Commissioned or quota-carrying sales experience
- Comfortable on a computer and willing to learn new software
- No dental experience required. We train you
WHY YOU'LL WANT TO WORK HERE
If you are coming from car sales or retail, you will notice the difference right away. There are no Saturdays or Sundays here, you are home in the evening, and you get a three-day weekend every weekend. You are helping someone fix the tooth that has been hurting for months, not pushing an extended warranty. Our office manager trains you on dental terminology, insurance, financing, and Dentrix, using written checklists and a sign-off for each skill. You will not be thrown in. People grow here. We cross-train across seats so you can move into the next one, and our new Lititz office manager started in our hygiene chair. This is not a corporate chain. Decisions get made here, by the owner, not by a regional manager you will never meet. You get a full benefit package and a harmonious work family that steps in for each other when the day gets heavy.
