Key Responsibilities

Executive Operating Rhythm

  • Orchestrate Executive Rhythm of Business: Manage the SVP’s operating rhythm—including leadership staff meetings, strategic and business reviews, C-suite briefing preparations, and organizational all-hands.

  • Maximize Executive Meeting Impact: Serve as the executive air-traffic controller for teams surfacing work to the SVP, ensuring proposals arrive at the proper altitude, at the right time, and with crisp, decision-ready content.

  • Drive Decision-Making and Action:Transform routine discussions into high-leverage decision forums; clarify objectives, and track critical commitments to closure.

  • Cross-Team Integration: Proactively identify friction points and interdependencies across marketing and publishing functions, establishing seamless bridges so distributed teams move in lockstep.

Strategy Operationalization

  • Agility Fund Governance: Operationalize and govern the Marketing Agility Fund (flexible marketing budget) for dynamic resource deployment.

  • COE Program Ingestion: Serve as the primary integration bridge for Centers of Excellence (e.g., Community, AI/MarTech, Analytics), ensuring COE recommendations are value added and easily consumable for the Marketing organization.

  • Team Adoption of Enterprise Programs: Evaluate proposed programs, processes, systems to ensure solutions are aligned with business needs and the roll out and adoption respects the bandwidth of frontline franchise teams.

Team Administration & Talent Enablement

  • Resourcing: Collaborate proactively with People Experience and leadership on resourcing and headcount planning (S&R), managing talent allocations, requisition prioritization, and role approvals across the marketing footprint.

  • Discretionary Budget Oversight: Manage discretionary operating budgets (T&E, training, contractors, temporary staffing), balancing team empowerment with financial discipline.

  • Talent Development & Recognition: Spearhead initiatives that spotlight team achievements, foster continuous capability building, and enhance leadership visibility.

Executive Communications & Storytelling

  • High-Impact Visual Presentation: Author and design executive presentations, board materials, and C-suite briefing decks, synthesizing complex operational and commercial data into compelling visual narratives.

  • Executive Presence & Influence: Demonstrated success counseling, aligning, and influencing VP- and C-suite stakeholders through trust and competence rather than seniority.

  • Operational Rigor & Strategic Agility: Ability to fluidly toggle between high-level enterprise strategy and granular execution without sacrificing momentum or accuracy.

  • Executive Storytelling & Altitude: Exceptional written and visual communication skills, with demonstrated mastery in distilling complex information into crisp, executive-ready presentations and memos.

  • Cross-Functional Fluency: High operational versatility across Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Legal, and People Experience to unblock roadblocks and accelerate delivery.
