Role summary

We are seeking an AI-Native Full Stack Engineer to join a fast-moving team focused on building CX, fraud, and safety tooling for a rapidly scaling AI-first company. This role involves end-to-end feature ownership across the full stack, utilizing AI coding tools to enhance development velocity and quality. You will work on critical internal tools for agents, investigators, and support teams, ensuring reliability and performance in high-stakes areas like abuse detection and user safety. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in full-stack development, a strong software engineering foundation, and a genuine interest in trust and safety systems. Experience with vendor API integrations, internal tooling, or data pipelines is a plus. This is a hybrid role based in San Mateo, CA.

Full Stack Engineer

The Opportunity

We're doing an AI-first engineering rebuild for a company that already has an audience of 100M+ people. This is a zero-to-one build with no legacy constraints. You're not joining to maintain someone else's code. You're here to help build the tools that keep the Beast community's trust and safety intact as we scale, working across the full stack, frontend and backend, to deliver features at a speed that wasn't possible before AI, and help shape systems that millions of users will rely on every day.

The Product

You'll be working, as part of a small and fast-moving team, on one of the highest-stakes parts of the product: the tools our agents, investigators, and support teams rely on to keep users safe and the platform trustworthy at scale. Workloads here are unpredictable in a different way: abuse patterns shift, moderation queues spike with real-time events, and every workflow touches real people's accounts, data, and safety. That means:

Internal tools across three areas: support ticketing (agent tooling, AI-assisted triage and resolution), safety/integrity investigations (case management, fraud investigation, content moderation, age overrides, data requests, NCMEC reporting), and abuse detection (real-time fraud controls, scam detection, identity and compliance systems) that need to stay fast and reliable for the customer support team using them every day.

Integrations with vendor platforms and APIs, from ticketing systems to identity and safety tools, that need to be correct, not just connected, since mistakes here can mean a missed report or a mishandled case.

Code that lives in production and directly affects how quickly and accurately real fraud, abuse, and support issues get resolved.

What You'll Do

Build and ship CX, fraud, and safety tooling across the full stack using AI coding tools, contributing to a velocity that redefines what a small engineering team can deliver.

Take ownership of your features end to end, from development through deployment, using AI-facilitated QA processes and tooling to maintain high engineering quality.

Write clean, reliable, and performant code with a strong sense of accountability for what you ship in production, especially given how directly these tools affect real users' safety and support experience.

Collaborate closely with your teammates and your supervisor, contributing to a culture of high standards, fast iteration, and continuous learning.

Who You Are

AI-Native: You're already burning through tokens and using AI coding agents daily to move faster.

Full Stack Engineer: 2+ years of hands-on experience building consumer-facing products across frontend and backend, with comfort moving between client and server as the product demands.

Trust & Safety Minded: You have genuine interest in building tools that protect users, whether that's through coursework, side projects, or prior exposure to support, moderation, or fraud systems. You're comfortable translating ambiguous or evolving compliance and safety requirements into concrete data models and systems, rather than waiting for a fully-specified spec.

Ownership Mindset: You take pride in what you ship, follow through on production issues, and don't consider a feature done until it's running reliably in the hands of the people using it.

Strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in at least one backend language (Node.js, Go, Java, Python, or equivalent) and one frontend framework. Bonus points for exposure to vendor API integrations, internal tooling, data pipelines, or prior work at a consumer-scale company.

Location: San Mateo, CA (3 days a week in the office)

Compensation $155,000 – $194,000 base + equity + benefits
