Munson Healthcare is seeking a Nursing Assistant II for PRN (as needed) positions, ideal for nursing students seeking hands-on experience. This role involves providing essential patient care, including personal hygiene, specimen collection, assisting with mobility, transporting patients, and monitoring vital signs. Candidates must have completed at least one semester of nursing prerequisites or be enrolled in nursing school and maintain CPR certification. Some departments may require lifting over 35 pounds. The position offers flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments and supports students transitioning into professional nursing roles.
A Nursing Assistant's responsibilities may include: Performing basic patient care needs and services essential to caring for the patients' personal and comfort needs Complete personal hygiene Collecting specimens Assisting patients with daily walking and exercise Transporting patients between departments Observing, reporting and recording vital signs of the patient
Completion of at least one semester of nursing prerequisites or nursing school. Obtain/Maintain CPR certification in adult maneuvers (child and infant may be required by some departments) at all times. May be required to lift more than 35 pounds. High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
