Role summary
Munson Healthcare is seeking a Food Service Worker for PRN (as needed) shifts. This role involves supporting the cafeteria's daily operations, including stocking food and beverages, serving customers, monitoring food quality and temperatures, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, knowledge of food safety practices, and experience with inventory management. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred. This position is onsite and requires adherence to healthcare vaccination policies.
A Day in the Life
- -Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of Munson Healthcare
- -Embraces and supports the Performance Improvement philosophy of Munson Healthcare.
- -Promotes personal and patient safety.
- -Has basic understanding of Relationship-Based Care (RBC) principles, meets expectations outlined in Commitment To My Co-workers, and supports RBC unit action plans.
- -Uses effective customer service/interpersonal skills at all times.
- -Sets up and stocks cafeteria using FIFO, monitors quality of food & assure enough food & paper stock available. Responsible for brewing coffee, and keeping a good stock of beverages.
- -Serves & replenishes hot food in cafeteria, including monitoring temperatures and quality of food. - Areas include breakfast, lunch & dinner service.
- -Cleans and sanitizes workstations, counters, steam tables and other equipment.
- -Interacts with customers/patients throughout the day/evening. Helps answer questions about food, ingredients & special needs.
- -Knowledgably about the food they are serving, including suggestive selling
- -Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
