Come join one of America’s fastest-growing insurance companies. Since 1848, National Life Group has aimed to keep our promises, providing families with stability in good times and in bad. Throughout that history, we have provided peace of mind to those families as they plan their futures.
Our mission extends beyond the insurance and annuities policies that we offer. We strive to make the world a better place through our grants from our charitable foundation, paid volunteer time for our employees, environmentally sustainable and healthy workplaces, and events that promote the work of nonprofits in our own backyard.
We foster a collaborative environment with opportunities for growth and encourage our associates to live our values: Do good. Be good. Make good.
Please note that we do not offer visa sponsorship for this position.
POSITION SUMMARY:
At National Life Group, we are modernizing our business and adapting our customer experience to a digital-first operating model. We aim to activate, engage, inspire, and connect with buying and selling customers to increase production, deepen relationships, and create meaningful connections grounded in our mission and purpose. Measuring progress and performance through meaningful insights is central to our transformation.
The Capital Management internship will provide exposure to how a leading U.S. life and annuity insurer evaluates current and projected capital needs, understanding the drivers of changes in capital and risk-based capital ratios, and provide insight into potential capital impacts from business activities, investment decisions, reinsurance deals, and regulatory developments. The intern will collaborate cross-functionally across Finance, Accounting, Actuarial, Risk Management, Investments, and other corporate teams.
The Capital Management Intern will support the company’s efforts to monitor, analyze, forecast, and manage its financial strength, capital position, and risks by assisting with updating and validating capital models, analyzing and forecasting changes in regulatory and rating-agency capital, and understanding and communicating capital implications for the company, in addition to activities such as process improvements and documentation activities.
