Nearwater Capital is seeking an Associate for its Operations team to support its Liquid Markets, Risk Retention, and Capital Markets business lines. This role involves full ownership of the trade lifecycle for various transactions, including commercial paper, repo, fixed income, and swaps. Responsibilities include trade capture, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, break resolution, and collateral management. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of financial services operations experience, a strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, and proficiency in Excel. Experience with specific products like commercial paper, repo, or total return swaps, and familiarity with systems like Enfusion or Bloomberg are preferred. This is a highly visible, hands-on role within a small team, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to working onsite in the New York office.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Nearwater Capital’s Middle Office team supports the firm’s three business lines: Liquid Markets, Risk Retention, and Capital Markets. We are looking for an Associate who will work across all three, rotating through products rather than sitting with one. You will own the full trade lifecycle for commercial paper, repo, fixed income, and swap transactions, working directly with the front office, counterparties, and custodians. This is a hands-on seat on a small team.
