About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Web Developer (Technical Lead) to join our team in Fall River, MA. This role is designed for a hands-on technical expert who operates at a level above a senior developer, taking ownership of architecture decisions, driving technical direction, and leading complex development initiatives. This position does not involve direct people management but emphasizes leadership through technical expertise, decision-making, and active contribution to project success. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our eCommerce platform, establishing best practices, and ensuring the development of scalable, secure, and high-performing systems. The role offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office presence on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and is suitable for candidates within reasonable commuting distance to Fall River, MA.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating at a senior or technical lead level, with a strong track record of driving architecture and technical strategy.
- Excellent ability to influence technical decisions and collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
- Hands-on expertise in modern web development frameworks and cloud-based systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience developing scalable applications in .NET technologies.
- At least 5 years of experience working with enterprise-level or eCommerce platforms.
- Extensive knowledge of SQL databases, including complex queries, stored procedures, and indexing.
- Deep understanding of microservices, REST APIs, serverless architectures, and modern design patterns.
- Experience with AWS cloud services such as S3, Lambda, EC2, ECS, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead and subject matter expert for web development initiatives, guiding project architecture and implementation.
- Lead by example through active participation in coding, architecture design, and code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, fostering best practices and continuous learning.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, user-centric solutions.
- Drive projects aimed at improving the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of our eCommerce platform.
- Own and contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, and deployment.
- Design and implement cloud-based microservices architecture across web, ERP, and third-party integrations.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and modern design patterns within the development team.
- Identify system inefficiencies and develop solutions to enhance performance and maintainability.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications and infrastructure, ensuring they meet evolving business needs.
- Ensure quality through comprehensive testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend tools and frameworks to support business growth and innovation.
