Role summary
The Material Handler I on 2nd Shift is responsible for moving materials such as glass and metal throughout the plant, including loading and unloading products from various sources like tables, racks, trucks, and crates. This role requires attention to detail in safety, quality, and efficiency, a strong work ethic, reliability, and problem-solving skills. The position is based in Perrysburg with a starting pay rate of $26.70 per hour. Key responsibilities include reading work orders, following job standards, attaching labels, and using a tape measure for basic measurements. The ideal candidate can work independently, prioritize tasks, lift up to 75lbs, and stand for 8-10 hours daily in a production environment with moderate to high noise levels and varying climate conditions.

What You’ll Get to Do
The Material Handler I is focused on moving material including glass and/or metal from one position/location to another to expedite the product throughout the plant. To include on/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates and reports to the Production Supervisor.This role is perfect for an individual who has an attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency) strong work ethic/reliability and is a problem solver. A vital member of the Production Departments, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Starting Pay Rate: $26.70 per hour and the job location is in Perrysburg.
Job responsibilities include:•On/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates.•Reads work orders and follows job standards for safety, quality and production.•Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.•Read and interpret basic mathematical measurements while effectively using a tape measure.
What We Are Looking For
•Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required.•Prior work experience performed inside a production/manufacturing environment.•Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted.•Ability to stand and move around on your feet for 8-10 hours per day on a concrete floor.•Able to withstand noise levels in the work environment that can be moderate to high.•Prior work history in a plant facility that is subject to the same climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.).
