Role summary

One Medical is seeking a Per Diem Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a casual employee role in San Mateo, CA. This position involves seeing patients for acute, chronic, and well visits in-office and occasionally via telehealth, with no panel-building responsibility. The role requires collaboration with in-office and virtual teams, utilization of clinical training for procedures, and obtaining additional state licensure. The ideal candidate demonstrates a passion for human-centered primary care, effective communication, technology use, evidence-based practice, teamwork, adaptability, and confidence in uncertain situations. A minimum of 2 years of outpatient primary care experience is required, with preferred experience in urgent care or a primary care fellowship.

Employment type:

  • 8-23 patient care hours per week

    • What you'll be working on:

  • Seeing patients with a broad array of patient needs; conducting a mix of acute, chronic, and well visits (not a panel-building role)
  • Treating patients in-office as well as conducting occasional tele-health visits
  • Ongoing collaboration with in-office teammates via daily huddles, as well as with virtual clinical teams
  • Utilization of your specific clinical training and opportunities to perform in-office procedures
  • Willing to obtain additional state licensure and credentialing for One Medical virtual primary care in additional states

    • Education, licenses, and experiences required for this role:

  • Completed an accredited NP or PA program with a national certification
  • In the past 5 years, practiced as an Advanced Practitioner for at least:
  • 2 years in an outpatient primary care setting, OR
  • 1 year in an outpatient primary care setting, coupled with either a 1 year primary care fellowship or 1+ year in an urgent care setting
  • State licensed in CA, obtained by your One Medical start date

    • This is an hourly role supportting our Bay Meadows office in San Mateo and other nearby offices.

    The hourly rate for this role is $96.00. Final determination of starting pay may vary based on factors such as practice experience and patient care schedule. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. The total compensation package for this position may also include benefits.
