Role summary

One Medical is seeking a remote Primary Care Physician licensed in Washington to join their virtual care team. This full-time role focuses on comprehensive patient panel management, combining clinical excellence with proactive patient engagement. Responsibilities include conducting virtual visits for acute, chronic, preventive, and mental health needs, building patient relationships, collaborating with care teams, participating in clinical rounds, and supervising NPs/PAs. The position requires at least 2 years of outpatient primary care experience, board certification or eligibility, and a willingness to obtain additional state licenses. The role involves a mix of virtual and periodic in-person care, with a minimum of 32 clinical hours per week.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Primary Care Physician to join our team in a unique remote role. This is a fully virtual position focused on comprehensive and longitudinal management of a new patient panel. You will play a foundational role in expanding One Medical's virtual primary care footprint, combining clinical excellence with a proactive, growth-oriented approach to patient engagement.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Conducting virtual visits across a broad spectrum of primary care needs including acute, chronic, preventive, and mental health care
  • Establishing strong patient relationships to drive continuity of care
  • Collaborating with virtual care teams, health coaches, behavioral health specialists, and consulting physicians to coordinate comprehensive care
  • Participating in weekly Clinical Rounds and continuous learning through other modalities
  • Supervising one or more NP or PA colleagues as part of a virtual care team
  • Contributing to the development and refinement of virtual panel-building workflows and best practices
  • Build and maintain a sustainable patient panel, achieving schedule utilization benchmarks

    • Education, Licenses, and Experiences Required

  • Enrolled in, or have completed, an accredited Internal or Family Medicine residency program
  • Practiced at least 2 of the last 5 years in an outpatient primary care setting
  • Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine, or Board Eligible with plans to obtain board certification within 1 year of your One Medical start date
  • Active Washington state medical license with willingness to obtain additional state licensure and credentialing for One Medical virtual primary care
  • Experience or strong interest in telehealth and virtual care delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain patient relationships in a virtual setting
  • Active Washington state medical license with willingness to obtain additional state licensure and credentialing across multiple states for One Medical virtual primary care, Virtual Medical Team supervision, and remote care in other MSAs

    • Schedule & Availability Requirements

  • This is a full-time role requiring a minimum of 32 clinical hours per week
  • Schedules may include hours between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM local time, any day of the week, based on the needs of your market
  • Daily schedules include up to 20 patient visits, with a mix of 20-minute and 30-minute visit lengths
  • Availability for evening and weekend coverage is expected, with a minimum of 8 hours per month
  • This role includes periodic in-person care at your home market location, typically 1 week per quarter, to support direct patient care including wellness visits

    • Compensation

    One Medical is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this role is $211,000 - $225,000 based on a full-time schedule. Final determination of starting pay may vary based on factors such as practice experience and patient care schedule.
