Web Developer

Seeking a Web Developer to work throughout the full lifecycle of system delivery, focusing on the design, development, and deployment of high-quality applications. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in front-end technologies, particularly Angular or React, along with back-end experience in Java. Collaboration with Business System Analysts, IT teams, and testing staff is essential to ensure the successful implementation of system enhancements.

Scope of Work
The role involves supporting Client's web application portfolio, which includes modern and older legacy systems. The primary focus is on modifying, enhancing, and maintaining these existing applications while managing a crucial transition to or integration with a new system. Responsibilities include implementing feature requests, bug fixes, and performance improvements across all systems. The developer will leverage Angular for front-end modifications and REST API (Java equivalent) expertise for back-end service integration. A significant portion of the work involves analyzing and safely modifying existing legacy codebases, designing and developing services to integrate existing and legacy applications with the new target system. The role requires developing robust unit tests and collaborating closely with BSAs and QA teams to ensure all application changes and the new integration adhere to technical specifications and business needs, delivering stable, secure, high-quality updates across the entire application landscape.
Skills

• Angular Expertise: Required, 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex applications using Angular or React.
• API Development: Required, 5 years of experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs or equivalent experience in a language like Java/Spring Boot.
• Database Proficiency: Required, 5 years of experience with SQL development, including writing complex queries and performing basic query optimization.
• Full Dev Lifecycle: Required, 5 years of experience with a strong understanding of the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC) and modern development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Version Control: Required, 5 years of experience with Git and modern version control workflows (e.g., branching, merging, pull requests).
• Problem-Solving: Required, 5 years of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and debug application issues across the stack.
• Minimum of 2 years of development experience in AWS: Required.
• PostgreSQL experience: Desired, 2 years.
• Prior Tax or financial Technology work experience: Highly desired, 2 years.
