Cyber Security Engineer

We are seeking an Associate Engineer – Security to join our cybersecurity engineering team. The position involves supporting security engineering initiatives, monitoring and responding to threats, developing secure applications using C/C++, working within Linux environments, and collaborating with teams to implement security best practices. Responsibilities also include participating in code reviews, testing, and documentation.

Responsibilities
- Support security engineering initiatives, including system hardening and vulnerability analysis
- Assist in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats and incidents
- Develop and maintain secure applications and tools using C/C++
- Work within Linux environments for system configuration, troubleshooting, and security enhancements
- Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to implement security best practices
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field
- Strong programming skills in C/C++
- Hands-on experience or academic exposure to Linux/Unix systems
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (network security, secure coding, cryptography, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree from Georgia Tech or similar top-tier cybersecurity program
- Internship, research, or academic project experience in cybersecurity
- Familiarity with security tools or penetration testing concepts
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Work Setup
- Hybrid role with possibly 1 to 2 days work from home depending on the project needs
- Location: Peachtree City, GA
