Role summary
The Azure DB Administrator role requires 5+ years of experience in application support, technical leadership, or data-platform troubleshooting. Key responsibilities include hands-on Azure data engineering and Python, working knowledge of Databricks and PySpark, advanced T-SQL and data warehouse skills, and troubleshooting ETL pipelines, large datasets, data quality, performance, and scalability issues. Understanding of RDBMS concepts, reporting flows, data movement, and production support practices is essential. Strong incident ownership, root-cause analysis, stakeholder communication, and technical coaching skills are also required. Preferred experience includes Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Delta/Parquet, AKS, SSIS/MSBI, Power BI, Alteryx, ERP extraction concepts, and audit or accounting-related data.
