Role summary

The RN Unit Manager oversees resident care in a long-term health care facility, ensuring adherence to policies and the Nurse Practice Act of Michigan. This role involves staff supervision, monitoring activities, and ensuring the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents. Responsibilities include participating in meetings, coordinating clinical orientation and training, managing infection control, tracking psychotropic medications, auditing medication administration, and providing backup for clinical team members. The position also includes participation in an on-call clinical leader rotation.
