Senior Fullstack Engineer

### Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Experience with React, next.js, Typescript or Javascript
- Experience with Python or a similar language
- Experience with SQL
- Solid communication skills with cross-functional team members
- Eager to take on new challenges and expand skill set
- Build a strong product-minded engineering culture by mentoring and guiding engineers
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or the equivalent

### What the job involves
- We're continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator platform with the best team in the creator economy and are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to support our mission
- This role is based in San Francisco and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model
- The Community team at Patreon is building the core spaces where creators and fans interact in real time
- We own Patreon Live, Chats, Comments, Reactions, Drops, and emerging collaboration features, the social layer that makes Patreon a place fans want to return to every day
- Our mission is to help fans feel connected, seen, and part of something, and to help creators lead vibrant communities that reflect their identity and values
- We operate across iOS, Android, Web, and Backend, partnering closely with Product, Design, Data, and Trust & Safety to build experiences that are engaging, safe, and deeply meaningful within niche fandoms
- This is a fit-finding space, we ship fast, learn quickly, and shape direction through real usage and feedback
- Own and deliver well-scoped full stack product feature milestones that help creators create content on Patreon
- Drive technical design of components that are scalable, well tested and are easy to maintain
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, designers, and other engineers to deliver high quality features
- Champion innovative solutions that enhance the usability and engagement with discovery features
