We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer with 6+ years of experience to support the design, development, and implementation of secure automotive systems and connected vehicle technologies. The candidate will ensure compliance with automotive cybersecurity standards and protect vehicle ECUs, communication networks, and software platforms from cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement cybersecurity solutions for automotive ECUs, gateways, and vehicle networks.
Perform Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) for vehicle systems.
Develop and implement secure communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SOME/IP).
Support secure boot, secure OTA updates, encryption, and authentication mechanisms.
Work with development teams to integrate cybersecurity controls across embedded software and hardware platforms.
Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security testing for automotive systems.
Ensure compliance with automotive cybersecurity standards and regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, and system engineering teams.
Support cybersecurity activities across the product lifecycle (concept, design, validation, and production).
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
6+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, preferably in the automotive or embedded systems domain.
Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
Experience with Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA).
Familiarity with cryptography, secure boot, key management, and secure OTA updates.
Experience with penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and security analysis tools.
Knowledge of embedded systems and ECU architecture.
Preferred Skills
Experience with ISO 21434 (Automotive Cybersecurity Standard).
Familiarity with UNECE WP.29 cybersecurity regulations.
Experience with AUTOSAR security modules.
Knowledge of HSM (Hardware Security Module) integration.
Experience with vehicle diagnostics and security testing tools.
