Role summary

Seeking a SAP Business Process Lead for a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation, focusing on the Plan to Produce workstream. This business-first role requires deep experience in SAP business process design, driving system design from process requirements. Responsibilities include leading the transformation, guiding fit-to-standard workshops, and resolving cross-workstream dependencies. Key areas within Plan to Produce include demand/supply planning, production engineering/execution, material staging, quality management, batch, and inventory management. Experience with SAP S/4HANA functionality and defining business processes, master data, and inputs is essential. Preferred experience includes SAP's Active Methodology, SAP Best Practices, and BPMN standards.

SAP Business Process Lead, Plan to Produce

We are seeking a SAP Business Process Lead to own the Plan to Produce workstream on a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation. This is a business-first role: the lead is accountable for business process design on a project where the transformation is focused around business outcomes rather than technical scope.

Responsibilities

Lead the business through the Plan to Produce workstream transformation

Take the primary role in guiding the entire program through fit-to-standard workshops (for Plan to Produce domain)

Resolve cross-workstream process dependencies

Hold the line on process integrity across design, build, and deployment

Requirements

Deep business process design experience, primarily within SAP, but grounded in a strong understanding of the underlying business operations independent of the tool

Has implemented SAP as a business-led initiative where process design drives system design

Understand SAP S/4HANA functionality within Plan to Produce, spanning:

Demand management and supply planning

Production engineering and execution

Material staging and production supply

Quality management

Batch and inventory management

Able to work backward from that functionality to define the business processes, master data, and inputs required to drive it

Past experience creating business process flows

Preferred

Working understanding of SAP’s ‘Active Methodology’ having leveraged the SAP Best Practice flows

Experience creating business process flows following BPMN standards

Additional Details:Job Type: ContractPay: $115-130 per hour. This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement and is not eligible for Pioneer benefits.Work Location: Remote, some travel may be required to client site (monthly/quarterly).
