Role summary
Plaid is seeking a Product Manager for Privacy & Data Governance to own the product strategy and execution for responsible data use across their platform. This role involves ensuring compliance, transparency, and security in handling sensitive consumer financial data. The Product Manager will collaborate with Legal, Security, Data, Engineering, and Product teams to operationalize privacy requirements into scalable solutions, define roadmaps for privacy capabilities, and translate regulatory requirements into product specifications. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of B2B product management experience, particularly with platform, infrastructure, or regulated products, and strong communication and collaboration skills.
We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Seattle, Washington D.C., Raleigh, London, and Amsterdam.
Data Governance builds the infrastructure that ensures Plaid responsibly manages sensitive consumer financial data. This includes identifying and managing PII (including deletions), enforcing consent and other data use limitations, upholding data minimization, and anonymizing data, while unblocking velocity for internal teams.
