Role summary

Point72's Trade Research team is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support trading activities by delivering research, market data, and day-to-day support. The role involves partnering with various teams to prioritize, scope, and execute projects, designing and improving workflows for efficiency, and coordinating with external parties for trading connectivity. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and technical skills, including coding and cloud technologies (AWS), a high degree of agency, and experience building cross-functional partnerships. Point72’s Trade Research team supports the firm’s trading activity by delivering research, market data, and day-to-day support that help quantitative researchers and portfolio managers make informed decisions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Partner with Technology, Operations, Trading, Compliance, and other teams to prioritize, scope, and execute projects that support the Trade Research function
  • Design and improve day-to-day workflows that leverage new technologies to increase team productivity and efficiency
  • Coordinate with brokers and third parties to implement trading connectivity and resolve operational issues
  • Streamline the team’s process for evaluating, investigating, and purchasing new market data
  • Build strong relationships across internal functions to support research teams and address daily operational needs

    • WHAT’S REQUIRED

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and drive them to completion
  • Technical fluency, including coding experience and familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS
  • High degree of agency and ownership, with the ability to identify needs, solve problems, and execute independently
  • Experience building partnership across business and operations functions
  • Ability to design, improve, and document workflows that increase efficiency and support day-to-day operations
  • Comfort working with market data, trading systems, brokers, and other third-party providers
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with strong attention to detail and a focus on operational excellence
