Role summary

PrizePicks is seeking a Game Operations - Trading Manager to lead resource planning, design trading processes, and manage player projections for sports gaming. This role involves incorporating data for optimization, scheduling team resources, facilitating training, and providing coaching. The manager will monitor projections, manage risk using quantitative analysis, understand player behavior, and implement strategies with leadership. They will also assist with reporting and resolve escalated issues. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of DFS or sports gaming experience, strong analytical and mathematical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a time-sensitive environment. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. This is a remote position with a salary range of $115,000-$125,000.

What you’ll do:

Lead and organize resource planning for Trading sports and key events

Design end-to end processes to originate projections from the initial research stage through trading

Incorporate and surface data required to improve and optimize processes

Help schedule and manage Game Operations team resources on a week to week basis

Facilitate trainings and learning opportunities to help develop the Game Operations team

Provide regular feedback and coaching to Game Operations team members

Maintain, and Monitor accurate player projections for all markets throughout the day and track any key information needed for projections

Manage risk and monitor projections accordingly utilizing modeling and quantitative analysis

Understand PrizePicks members’ play patterns and adjust internal processes and projections accordingly

Work alongside Game Operations Leadership to implement strategies, best practices and processes around key markets

Ability to apply and adapt Game Operations skills for other sports that you could be responsible for

Assist with reporting requirements as directed by management team

Serve as a key point of contact to resolve escalated issues with the Game Operations team

What you have:

Excellent attention to detail and ability to apply that skill efficiently

Ability to analyze several streams of information concurrently and make thoughtful decisions in a highly time-sensitive environment

Excellent time management, reliability, and ability to meet highly important deadlines

Experience balancing leading and working within a team to achieve shared goals

Ability to apply strong understanding of DFS and sports gaming industries

Extensive understanding of college/major sports league players, teams, players, matchups and understanding of how said information impacts projections

Comfortable with Standard Operating Procedures to all sports, regardless of specialized knowledge or experience

Availability to work on nights & weekends (coinciding with sports schedule)

Strong Mathematical and Analytical skills

Ability to learn new or updated software

Ability to take direction from Game Operations leadership

Must be able to obtain and be eligible for all required licenses, as applicable

Bachelor's degree in related field (statistics, computer science, engineering, analytics, finance, accounting) preferred but not required

One to three years of experience working in Daily Fantasy Sports or Sports Gaming required

The typical salary range for this position is $115,000 to $125,000. At PrizePicks, we consider your role, level, and where you'll be working when determining our salary ranges.
