Position Summary
What you will have an opportunity to do:
The Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales and supports the daily operations of the sales department. Key responsibilities include managing sales quotas, developing and executing sales plans, handling guest concerns, and ensuring adherence to hotel policies. This role works closely with the Food and Beverage and Banquet departments to coordinate events, optimize revenue opportunities, and deliver seamless experiences, all while enhancing overall guest satisfaction and sales performance.
Essential Functions
- Assist the Director of Sales with daily sales operations and strategic initiatives
- Develop, implement, and manage sales plans to meet or exceed revenue goals
- Manage sales quotas, forecasts, and performance metrics
- Generate new business and maintain relationships with existing accounts
- Work closely with the Banquet and Food & Beverage departments to coordinate events, group bookings, and catering services
- Ensure seamless communication between sales, banquet, and F&B teams for event execution
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, and service expectations
- Participate in site tours, client meetings, and contract negotiations
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities
- Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and client documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in Sales, Food and Beverage hotel operations, with at least 1-3 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience with property management systems and hotel reservation software is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours; including weekends and holidays.
