Role summary

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for their California, Maryland facility. This role involves providing direct client care, supervising clients, supporting treatment plans, and maintaining a safe environment for adults with substance use, mental health, co-occurring, and problem gambling disorders. Responsibilities include client intake, documentation, medication observation, activity coordination, and crisis intervention. Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician

Location: California Facility 44871 Saint Andrews Church Road California, MD

Schedule: 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.

Starting Hourly Rate: $15.00 per hour before applicable differentials

Job Summary

Pyramid Healthcare is dedicated to providing high-quality, client-centered behavioral healthcare. Our California, Maryland, facility offers outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for adults experiencing substance use disorders, mental health disorders, co-occurring disorders, and problem gambling. We also provide psychiatric services, including medication management.

The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for providing direct care, interacting with and supervising clients, supporting treatment-plan objectives, and maintaining a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Complete the intake process with new clients entering the program.

Maintain accurate and timely client documentation.

Observe and document client self-administration of medication, as applicable.

Coordinate client activities and provide direct supervision.

Follow treatment-plan objectives and address client-specific needs.

Evaluate clients’ behavioral and emotional needs and provide appropriate responses, including crisis intervention.

Maintain a safe, clean, orderly, and therapeutic environment.

Assist with clients’ dietary needs.

Complete all required and mandatory training.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Behavioral health or general healthcare experience preferred.

Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred.

Strong communication, observation, documentation, and interpersonal skills preferred.

Employment Information

Employment is contingent upon meeting all screening requirements in accordance with federal, state, and accrediting-body regulations.
