Role summary

The Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor (BHT Supervisor) is responsible for overseeing clients and other BHTs during their shift, ensuring adherence to protocols and reporting issues to management. This role involves assisting with client intake, maintaining detailed logs, providing crisis intervention, coordinating client activities, conducting bed checks, and ensuring daily schedules are followed. The BHT Supervisor also assists with client interventions, monitors medication, transports clients as needed, conducts searches, and trains new staff. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required. Experience in Drug and Alcohol/Mental Health and facilitating process groups/family sessions is preferred.

Summary:

In addition to performing the role of a BHT, the BHT Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of clients and other BHTs while on duty. BHT Supervisor ensures client and staff follow protocols, and reports issues to the Program Director / BHT Manager and others as needed.

Shift: 1st Shift 7:00am - 3:00pm

Pay: $17.50/hr before shift differentials

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the intake process for new clients into the program.
  • Communicate with staff either verbally or in written communication logs, responsible for detailed client logs.
  • Listen to clients concerning all areas of treatment, maintaining a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for clients including crisis intervention.
  • Coordinate activities including lectures, recreation, and meetings.
  • Conduct mandatory bed checks as required per department, complete bed-check sheets for shift reporting.
  • Attend shift change, team meetings, and company meetings.
  • Ensure client schedule is being followed daily.
  • Assist with interventions with clients.
  • Follow objectives of treatment plans.
  • Monitor medication line.
  • Transport clients to hospitals for medical appointments as needed.
  • Conduct searches of clients when they return to the facility.
  • Train new staff on unit, program, and milieu.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent. (Required)
  • Valid driver’s license. (Required)
  • Experience in Drug and Alcohol/Mental Health. (Preferred)
  • Experience facilitating process groups and family sessions. (Preferred)
