Role summary

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a Lead Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in York, PA, to provide shift-level leadership and support to nursing staff in an adult substance use disorder treatment facility. This role involves coordinating daily nursing operations, managing staff assignments, assisting with admissions and discharges, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a current PA LPN license, strong leadership and organizational skills, and knowledge of nursing practices, medication administration, HIPAA, and state licensing requirements. Prior experience in behavioral health and nursing leadership is preferred. The position offers full-time employment with 12-hour shifts and requires working every other weekend.

We are currently seeking an LPN Lead to join our team of behavioral healthcare professionals. This role provides shift-level leadership and support to nursing staff while helping coordinate daily nursing operations and promote safe, high-quality care for our clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide shift-level leadership, direction, and support to nursing staff to promote safe and effective client care.

Coordinate nursing workflow, staff assignments, and daily operational activities to support continuity of care.

Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling concerns, call-offs, and on-call coordination as needed.

Support nursing coordination for client admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Communicate client care concerns, staffing needs, and operational updates to nursing leadership.

Assist with the orientation, onboarding, and training of new nursing staff.

Promote compliance with medication administration procedures, HIPAA requirements, state licensing regulations, and organizational policies.

Support preparation for regulatory, licensing, and accreditation surveys.

Respond to client, staff, and operational concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support quality care and positive client outcomes.

Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive client and company information.

Complete all required training as designated by the company and applicable licensing or accreditation entities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Provides shift-level supervision, guidance, coaching, and support to nursing staff to promote safe care delivery, effective daily operations, and compliance with program policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

Current, valid, and unencumbered Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.

Demonstrated leadership skills, including organization, prioritization, and time management.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of nursing practices, medication administration, HIPAA regulations, and applicable state licensing requirements.

CPR, AED, and First Aid certification as required by the facility.

Prior experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or inpatient care settings preferred.

Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Familiarity with CARF or other healthcare accreditation standards preferred.

Schedule

Schedule: Full-time, 12-hour shifts, either 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend is required.
