Role summary
Rexel Canada is seeking a Counter Sales/Warehouse Associate for their Brockville, ON location. This role involves loading/unloading shipments, preparing skids, sorting freight, and verifying received goods. Responsibilities include managing stock, picking, receiving, shipping, confirming stock availability, and suggesting alternatives. The associate will also service customers via phone and counter sales, process orders, inquiries, and quotations, and maintain high customer service standards. Key duties include participating in cycle counts, inventory, maintaining a clean work environment, and adhering to Health & Safety procedures. Previous warehouse and counter sales experience, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, product knowledge of the electrical business, computer literacy, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.
As the Counter Sales/Warehouse Associate based in Brockville, ON you will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, preparing and stacking skids, sorting freight and verifying goods received along with other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Putting away counter and warehouse stock.
- Picking, receiving and shipping duties when required.
- Confirming stock availability and suggesting alternatives.
- Directly servicing the customer via phone & counter sales.
- Processing orders, inquiries & quotations.
- Maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Participate in regular cycle counts and annual inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to established Health & Safety procedures and practices.
- Previous warehouse and counter sales experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal & written and an ability to impart knowledge.
- Product knowledge of the electrical business.
- Excellent organizational & problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is CAD 40000 – 55000. Final compensation within this range will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This range does not include variable pay or other components of Rexel’s total rewards package.
