Role summary

Runwise is seeking a Sales Development Manager in New York City to build and lead their SDR team, focusing on generating pipeline from real estate owners and operators. This role requires 4+ years of sales experience, including 2+ years managing an SDR team with hiring and performance management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a track record of meeting targets, proficiency in Salesforce and Outreach, and a strong operational and coaching mindset. The position involves building playbooks, messaging, and outbound strategies, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth. The role is hybrid, requiring 4-5 days in the NYC office.

Runwise’s technology runs the heating, cooling, gas, and water systems in 10,900+ buildings and cuts owners’ utility bills by 23%. We’re hiring a Sales Development Manager in New York City to build and lead the SDR team that brings it to the next wave of buildings across the U.S.

The Opportunity

You will own the top of the funnel: how we find, qualify, and set meetings with the real estate owners and operators whose buildings consume the most energy in the country.

As Sales Development Manager, you will lead a team of SDRs focused on cold calling and pipeline generation, and you will own the team’s results. You will hire, onboard, coach, and develop your reps, set clear goals, and shape the playbooks, messaging, and outbound motion that drive the pipeline. You will work closely with leadership, Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Operations to turn Runwise’s growth targets into daily execution.

This role sits at the intersection of coaching, process design, and revenue accountability. The right candidate is an ambitious, people-first manager who has led sales teams before, brings an operational and hunter mindset, and builds a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
