Role summary

This is a freelance, remote position for an AI Linguistic Evaluator fluent in Telugu and English. The role involves interacting with an AI assistant, translating prompts, and evaluating AI-generated content for linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance. The ideal candidate has a background in linguistics, translation, or localization, with a Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of experience, or 5+ years of language-related work experience. The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently following project guidelines.

We are looking for AI Linguistic Evaluators to assess how effectively an AI application performs in Telugu for a short collaboration.

  • Work Schedule: Flexible
  • Start Date: Immediately
  • Duration: Approximately 10-15 total hours (around 5 hours per day)
  • Rate: 18 USD/hour
  • Equipment Required: Access to at least one personal device running iOS, Android, Windows, or macOS

What You’ll Do:

  • Interacting with an AI assistant in your target language.
  • Translating provided prompts from English into your target language and using them to interact with the AI application.
  • Evaluating the quality of AI-generated responses according to project guidelines.
  • Assessing localization quality, including linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and cultural appropriateness.
  • Providing structured evaluations and feedback following the project instructions and quality standards.

    • What We’re Looking For:

  • Native-level fluency in Telugu
  • Excellent command of grammar, spelling, linguistic nuances, and cultural context of the target language
  • Ability to accurately translate prompts from English into the target language
  • Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Languages, Philology, Literature, or a related field, or
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in language-related work
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed guidelines
  • Ability to independently evaluate AI-generated content and provide consistent quality assessments
  • Comfortable working with structured evaluation criteria and quality standards
  • Ability to work independently and deliver accurate, objective feedback
