Role summary

SB Energy is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Project Manager to oversee the planning and execution of data center, critical infrastructure, and large-scale MEP design and construction projects. The role involves supporting Project Managers in coordinating design and construction efforts, reviewing technical documentation, maintaining project records, tracking timelines and budgets, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 8+ years of professional experience, 2-5 years in construction/engineering project support with data center exposure, basic understanding of MEP systems, and proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential. This is an on-site position near Lubbock, Texas.

Basic Function

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Senior Project Manager to support the successful planning and execution of data center, critical infrastructure, and large-scale MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) design and construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundational understanding of construction project management who is eager to grow in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers in coordinating design and construction efforts across multiple stakeholders.
  • Assist in reviewing and interpreting technical documentation, including architectural plans and MEP specifications.
  • Help maintain project documentation, meeting notes, and action items to ensure clear communication across teams.
  • Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones using scheduling tools.
  • Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing, and change order documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to gather and organize project inputs.
  • Prepare regular status reports and support the team in presentations and client meetings.
  • Help identify potential project risks and escalate issues to the Project Manager as needed.

    • Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; or equivalent industry experience.
  • 8+ years of professional experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in construction or engineering project support roles, with exposure to data centers or large mechanical/electrical systems preferred.
  • Basic understanding of MEP systems, construction sequencing, and project coordination.
  • Familiarity with reading construction drawings and technical documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

    • Location: On-site near Lubbock, Texas.

    Base Pay - $140,000-$190,000

    The pay range mentioned above is a guideline. We tailor each offer based on your unique skills, experience, location, and market benchmarks—while ensuring internal parity across our teams. In addition to competitive base pay, total compensation may include a discretionary annual bonus and a market leading comprehensive health and wellness benefits package.
