Role summary

Seeking a Java Engineer with 5+ years of professional software engineering experience to join a team in Plano, TX. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Java development, Python programming, and AWS cloud services. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and supporting applications in enterprise environments, with a focus on cloud-based application development, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of application resiliency, security, and production stability is crucial. Experience with AI-assisted development tools is also required. This is an in-person role for W2 candidates only, locals to Plano, TX.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Java development.
Practical experience with Python programming and scripting.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-based application development.
Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
Experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Experience developing, maintaining, and supporting applications in enterprise environments.
Understanding of application resiliency, security, and production stability.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Hands-on exposure to enterprise-approved AI-assisted software development tools and responsible AI usage.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with centralized logging, log aggregation, and observability platforms.
Knowledge of monitoring and logging technologies such as ELK, Splunk, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar tools.
Experience with cloud platform modernization initiatives.
Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architecture.
Exposure to Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience supporting distributed systems and cloud infrastructure platforms.
