Role summary

Senra Systems is seeking an entry-level Test Technician to join their manufacturing team in Cypress, CA. This role involves performing functional, electrical, and mechanical testing on components and assemblies to ensure they meet engineering specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, testing, or quality environment, the ability to read blueprints, and basic understanding of measurement tools. Responsibilities include operating test equipment, recording data, identifying defects, and maintaining calibration records. This is an onsite, full-time position with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

At Senra Systems, we believe that the future of manufacturing lies not in automation, but in configuration.

We supercharge electrical wire harness manufacturing through software configuration, transforming skilled assembly tasks into high-throughput production lines. We enable customers to design what they want, when they want it and deliver harness builds at record-breaking speed.

Senra Systems is seeking a Test Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will perform electrical testing on wire harnesses and cable assemblies, including hipot, continuity, and automated Cirris testing, to verify they meet engineering specifications, drawing requirements, and customer quality standards. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their manufacturing career to build hands-on experience in an aerospace production environment, working closely with technicians, quality, and engineering.

What you’ll own:

  • Perform continuity, hipot (dielectric withstand), and insulation resistance testing on wire harnesses and cable assemblies per work instructions, test procedures, and customer specifications.
  • Set up, program, and operate Cirris test systems, including loading test programs, building or verifying test fixtures and adapter cables, and running automated tests.
  • Troubleshoot failed harnesses (opens, shorts, miswires, intermittents) and work with production to identify and correct the root cause.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, pin-out tables, and harness drawings to determine pass/fail criteria.
  • Use multimeters and other electrical test equipment to verify and diagnose assemblies.
  • Accurately record test data, results, and non-conformances in accordance with quality system requirements.
  • Identify and report defects, out-of-spec conditions, or process issues to supervisors and engineering.
  • Help maintain and track the calibration status of test equipment, and flag equipment that needs calibration or repair.
  • Provide on-the-floor support to production technicians as needed.
  • Follow all safety (including high-voltage safety), quality, and 5S/housekeeping standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and traceability records in compliance with company and customer quality requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts that support quality, safety, and throughput goals.
  • What you’ll bring to the team:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in electrical testing in a manufacturing environment (internships, trade school, or military technical training considered).
  • Hands-on experience with hipot and continuity testing.
  • Experience operating Cirris (or similar automated) cable and harness test equipment.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and harness drawings.
  • Working knowledge of multimeters and basic electrical concepts (voltage, resistance, insulation, shorts and opens).
  • Comfortable using a computer for data entry and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Bonus points:

  • Experience assembling wire harnesses (cutting, stripping, crimping, terminating, connector insertion, routing, and lacing).
  • Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards.
  • Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Compensation:

  • Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
