Role summary

SERVPRO is seeking a Restoration Technician to respond to emergency situations like water and fire damage. Responsibilities include performing restoration activities such as water extraction, demolition, setting up equipment, and maintaining work vehicles. The role requires clear communication with supervisors and clients, addressing concerns, and explaining the restoration process. Candidates should be able to lift at least 50 pounds regularly, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and handle cleaning agents. A valid driver's license and willingness to work on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, are necessary. Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred, and IICRC certification is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
  • Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
  • Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
  • Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
  • Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
  • Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
  • IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
  • Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
  • Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
