Role summary

Sierra is seeking a leader for its Tech Generated Lead (TGL) team, responsible for service and maintenance calls on aging HVAC systems. This role involves coaching technicians, improving the handoff to Comfort Advisors, and driving sales closure rates for system replacements. The ideal candidate has experience running a tech turnover or lead-generation program, is motivated by performance metrics, and possesses strong residential HVAC diagnostic knowledge. Responsibilities include leading and coaching technicians, tracking KPIs, setting turnover criteria, ensuring smooth handoffs, conducting team meetings, and participating in hiring. The role requires 3+ years of residential HVAC experience, including 1+ year of leadership.

Sierra is growing our Tech Generated Lead (TGL) team and needs a leader to run it. Internally we call it the Silo team. These technicians handle service and maintenance calls on aging systems. When a repair no longer makes sense for the homeowner, they turn the call over to a replacement conversation.

You'll own that team's results. That means coaching techs in the field, tightening the handoff to our Comfort Advisors, and growing the number of turned-over calls that close as sold jobs. If you've run a tech turnover or lead-generation program and you like being measured on numbers, this role is built for you.

In Las Vegas, air conditioning isn't optional. Our techs work year-round, and so does this team.

What you'll do

  • Lead, coach, and hold accountable a team of TGL (Silo) Technicians
  • Track and improve team KPIs: TGLs generated, close rate on TGLs, average ticket, and maintenance agreement sales
  • Ride along with technicians to coach diagnostics, homeowner conversations, and photo documentation
  • Set clear criteria for when a call should be turned over, and make sure techs apply them consistently
  • Work with Comfort Advisors and Dispatch so TGLs are handed off quickly and nothing falls through
  • Run daily huddles and weekly one-on-ones, and report team results to the General Manager
  • Interview, hire, and onboard new technicians with the Recruiting team
  • Uphold safety standards, company policies, and a strong customer experience on every call
  • What you bring

    Required

  • 3+ years of residential HVAC experience, including at least 1 year leading or training technicians
  • Strong residential HVAC diagnostic knowledge, enough to coach techs on the call
  • A track record of hitting performance numbers (sales, turnover, close rate, or average ticket)
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
  • Preferred

  • Experience running a tech turnover, lead-generation, or replacement sales program
  • Field service software experience (ServiceTitan or similar)
  • Experience with performance-based or commission pay plans
  • Pay and benefits

Base salary: $65,000 – $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. The role also earns a team performance bonus tied to TGL team results. At target performance, expected total annual earnings are $110,000 – $150,000. Bonus pay is not guaranteed and depends on team and individual performance under the current bonus plan.

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off
  • Company vehicle
  • Ongoing leadership and sales training
  • A path into senior operations leadership as the department grows
  • Working conditions

This role splits time between the office and customer homes across the Las Vegas valley. Field work includes summer heat above 100°F, attics, and rooftops. It also means lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and kneeling or crouching in tight spaces.
