Facilities Technician

Maintenance Technician Silver Tree Residential, LLC is looking for a dependable, quality-focused, and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our growing team at our newly acquired property, Our Lady of the Lake Apartments. This senior-living apartment community is comprised of 255 independent senior-living apartment homes in Baton Rouge, LA. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the prompt and efficient performance of all tasks assigned by the Community Director and/or Maintenance Director and for continuous self-improvement of skills and expertise. We are looking for a reliable team member who is willing to uphold our community to the highest standards. Summary of Requirements:

• Working with Directors in managing all maintenance-related and capital improvement activities within an assigned property.
• Inspecting, scheduling, and performing routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as necessary or as directed by the Directors.
• Capable of dealing effectively with supervisors, residents, vendors, and co-workers.
• Satisfying work orders promptly and efficiently. 
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances, stoves, dishwashers, disposals, and refrigerators. Some familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry is required.
• Assist in the make ready process of vacant apartments to get them ready for new move-ins in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
• Prior property maintenance experience is preferred.
• Must have his/her own tools.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years property maintenance experience. It is essential that the Facilities Technician report to work at his/her regularly scheduled work hours and have the physical capability to walk all around the property (including stairs), lift heavy items, and otherwise perform a variety of physical tasks regularly and as needed.
