Role summary

Silverado is seeking a PRN Hospice Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide skilled nursing and palliative care to patients and families in San Diego County. This role involves pain and symptom management, patient education, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, resilient, and has a valid LVN/LPN license with at least 1 year of experience. Hospice experience is preferred. Must have CPR certification, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and be comfortable working around animals. The position offers competitive pay and benefits.

We’re hiring Hospice LVNs - compassionate professionals who provide skilled nursing and palliative care to patients and families during their most vulnerable moments. This role blends clinical expertise, empathy, and relationship-building to deliver dignified, meaningful care.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Deliver skilled nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse
  • Provide pain and symptom management, medical treatments, and patient education
  • Support patients and families through end-of-life care with empathy and professionalism
  • Participate in care planning and collaborate with the interdisciplinary Palliative team
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with Palliative protocols
  • Travel to patient homes across San Diego County

    • Qualifications:

  • Valid LVN/LPN license in the state
  • Minimum 1 year of LVN/LPN experience
  • Hospice experience preferred but not required
  • CPR certification required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working around animals and pets
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
  • May be required to work outside regular hours based on patient needs
