🐶 About the Role
Skiptown is a premium dog care company offering daycare, boarding, grooming and more, built around a community of dogs and their people. We’re growing our Charlotte location and opening a new one in Pineville.
We’re looking for a hands-on field marketer to get out into the community, build local partnerships and turn them into new customers. It’s a part-time contract role, and it can become full-time based on results.
💼 What You’ll Do
- Launch our first franchise in Pineville: Run the presale campaign, selling memberships, daycare bundles and a founding-member offer before opening day, then plan the grand opening and preview events.
- Grow our South End location: Bring in new customers and repeat visits through neighborhood outreach, referrals and seasonal promotions.
- Build a local partner network: Apartment communities, vet clinics, pet retailers, employers and community groups.
- Represent Skiptown at pop-ups, festivals and pet-friendly events.
- Work closely with Ops: Partner with location managers and the operations team on pre-sales, events and the Pineville opening.
- Track and report results: Leads, new customers, bookings and spend.
- Write down what works so it becomes a playbook for future locations.
🎯 What Success Looks Like at 6 Months
- Pineville location opens with revenue already booked: memberships and daycare bundles sold before opening day
- South End location growth: new memberships and bundle sales that come from field marketing.
- An active partner network that brings in regular referrals to both locations.
- A repeatable playbook: The presale, founding-member and partner tactics are written down for our next market.
🐾 Who You Are
- 2+ years in field, local, event or community marketing.
- A track record of grassroots work that brought in customers and revenue, not just awareness.
- Based in the Charlotte area, with reliable transportation and some evening and weekend availability.
- A self-starter who works well independently.
- Bonus: Experience in pet care, hospitality or fitness, or with launching a new location.
If you're passionate about connecting with your community, building meaningful partnerships, and bringing creative ideas to life, Skiptown might just be your spot.
