Role summary

Slide Insurance is seeking multiple Staff Counsel attorneys for its growing legal team, with opportunities in both Pre-Suit and Litigation. The Litigation Staff Counsel will manage cases through all litigation phases, including depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trials, while developing litigation strategy and representing the company in court. Candidates must have a JD, active Florida Bar membership, and 4+ years of Florida litigation experience, preferably in first-party property defense. Strong knowledge of Florida civil procedure, evidence, and insurance statutes, along with excellent advocacy, negotiation, and research skills, are essential. The role requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adhere to high ethical standards within an innovative and collaborative company culture.

What You’ll Do

Litigation Staff Counsel

Handle cases through all phases of litigation.

Conduct depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trials.

Manage litigation strategy and represent the company in court.

What You Bring

Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and active Florida Bar membership (in good standing)

4+ years of litigation experience in Florida; first-party property defense experience preferred

Strong knowledge of Florida civil procedure, evidence rules, and insurance-related statutes

Excellent written and oral advocacy, negotiation, and legal research skills

Ability to independently analyze legal issues and manage cases with minimal supervision

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
