Role summary
SOCOTEC is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Field and Lab Assistant Summer Intern in Austin, TX. This role involves assisting field and laboratory technicians with construction materials testing and observation, as well as supporting geotechnical engineers and project managers. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Geology, or Construction-related program (Associate's, Bachelor's, or Graduate). A valid driver's license, good driving record, and the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, are required. Strong communication skills are also essential.
SOCOTEC has an opening for a Geotechnical Engineering Field and Lab Assistant Summer Intern in Austin, TX. The successful candidate will work alongside field and laboratory technicians in the performance of construction materials field and lab testing and construction observation. Duties may also include assisting geotechnical engineers and project managers with any other aspects of field operations needed.
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering, Geology, or Construction-related Associates, Bachelor's or Graduate program
- Strong communication skills
- Able to perform a wide range of physical activities including lifting up to 50 pounds of equipment on occasion
- Valid driver's license and good driving record is required
