Job Summary

Herschend is seeking an inspiring and people-first Human Resources Coordinator to help shape the culture and care for the cast behind our newest hospitality venture, Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel, located in the heart of Downtown Nashville. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, brings a thoughtful and innovative approach to talent and employee experience, and leads with both confidence and heart. The HR Coordinator plays an essential role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department while helping create an exceptional experience for every team member throughout their employment journey. This position provides administrative and operational support across key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, recordkeeping, and employee engagement.

The Human Resources Manager position provides a unique opportunity for the right individual to coach and lead the people and culture efforts during the pre-opening and launch for Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel featuring 245 rooms, two F&B Entertainment venues, a market, and Dolly Parton’s Museum. This position is responsible for directing and leading the development and implementation of strategic human resources initiatives that support recruitment, onboarding, training, engagement, and compliance. Of primary importance in this role is the ability to partner with leaders to build, guide, and support a high-performing team while fostering a positive, inclusive, and values-driven workplace. Summary of Essential Functions & Responsibilities  

• Prepare, coordinate, and maintain Human Resources reports and documentation for management as needed. 

• Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for hourly hosts, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. 

• Support recruitment efforts for designated hourly positions, including candidate coordination and hiring activities. 

• Oversee uniform distribution, inventory management, and tracking to ensure adequate supplies for property. 

• Assist with designated payroll procedures & reports. 

• Monitor and maintain compliance training records, ensuring hosts complete all required training within designated timelines. 

• Coordinate, plan, and promote internal team events and engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications 

• A genuine passion for hospitality, service excellence, people development, and fostering a positive workplace culture. 

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and related applications. 

• Ability to handle sensitive employee information and maintain strict confidentiality of personnel records and HR documentation. 

• 1–2 years of experience in an administrative, human resources, or related support role.
