Apprentice Technician - Jaguar Land Rover Houston Central

The Apprentice Technician supports the service team by performing minor repairs, routine maintenance, and hands-on learning under the guidance of an assigned Master Technician mentor. This role is designed to build the foundational skills and experience needed to advance into a flat-rate technician position. OEM training and on-the-job mentorship are provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work alongside a Master Technician mentor to learn dealership procedures and technical skills
• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs as outlined on repair orders
• Assist with vehicle inspections to identify any additional service needs
• Learn to diagnose causes of malfunctions and complete repairs under supervision
• Complete required OEM online training as part of the apprentice curriculum
• Request guidance as needed and maintain an active learning mindset

• Completion of an automotive technology program (e.g., UTI, WyoTech, or similar) preferred
• Ability to work full-time and maintain reliable attendance
• Previous shop or dealership experience 
• Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive repair
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and dealership guidelines
• Must be authorized to work in the USA and possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements including background check, MVR, and drug screening.

Compensation (Hourly):

• $20.00 - $24.00 / hour
  • Based on experience and skill level

Schedule:

• FULL-TIME
• Monday - Friday

Compensation (Hourly):

• $20.00 - $24.00 / hour
• Start as an hourly apprentice while gaining hands-on dealership experience. After completing the average 6-month apprenticeship period, you’ll be eligible for a raise and move to a flat-rate pay structure with plenty of room to grow your hours and income.
