Role summary

SpaceX is seeking an experienced IT Storage Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise storage infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in performance-critical settings, supporting mission-critical workloads like simulation and telemetry. Responsibilities include architecting and operating exabyte-scale file systems, administering various storage systems (NetApp, Pure, Vast, HPE Alletra), and troubleshooting complex issues across hardware, transport, and protocol layers. The engineer will also develop automation, define standards, and collaborate with other teams. A Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 3+ years of experience, or 5+ years of experience in lieu of a degree, is required.

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.
