Role summary
SpaceX is seeking a Production Scheduler for its Starship program. This role is responsible for driving efficient production by developing rate-based schedules, identifying part shortages, projecting long-term departmental needs, and tracking constraints across builds. The scheduler will collaborate with teams to set and execute daily/weekly goals aligned with overall rate targets. Key responsibilities include assisting with production scheduling, defining and tracking constraints for upcoming missions, managing hardware allocation, and building relationships with internal suppliers. The role requires monitoring MRP systems, leveraging SQL queries to identify shortages, and implementing automation opportunities. Additionally, the scheduler will analyze capacity, identify risks, and lead initiatives to mitigate them, as well as uncover root causes for build issues and drive improvements in product yield, quality, safety, cost, and team efficiency. A Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of manufacturing scheduling experience, or 3+ years of professional experience in manufacturing scheduling, planning, or operations is required. Experience with ERP/MRP systems is also necessary.
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.
