Role summary
SpaceX is seeking new graduate Electrical Engineers for its Starlink program, the world's largest satellite constellation providing broadband internet. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will own the full hardware lifecycle, working across electrical, mechanical, thermal, software, and antenna/RF disciplines. Responsibilities include developing high-reliability electronics for satellites and spacecraft, driving system trades, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, debugging, testing, and supporting hardware through production and flight. Sub-teams focus on Avionics, Payload, Gateways, Hardware Test, Hardware Development, On-Orbit Reliability, and Enterprise & Government solutions. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 1+ years of relevant design/analysis experience (internships/co-ops count).
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.
NEW GRADUATE ENGINEER, ELECTRICAL - '26/'27 (STARLINK)
SpaceX is leveraging its experience in building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink, the world’s most advanced broadband internet system. Starlink is the world’s largest satellite constellation and is providing fast, reliable internet to 10M+ users worldwide. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system – thousands of satellites, consumer receivers that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing, and the software that brings it all together. We’ve only begun to scratch the surface of Starlink’s potential global impact. As we continue to upgrade and expand the constellation, we’re looking for best-in-class engineers to join the team.
As an Electrical Design Engineer on Starlink, you’ll have ownership over the entire life-cycle of the hardware that enables this connectivity, and sits at the intersection of electrical, mechanical, thermal analysis, software, and antenna/RF engineering. Challenges range from high-speed digital communications, analog, network system integration, power electronics, avionics, network computers, failure analysis, on-orbit reliability, test automation, and RF devices.
